Fermented Feed

There are many benefits of ferment grains, which includes:

  • More digestable, therefore requiring less feed

  • Less waste by "billing out" of feeder onto the ground

  • Chickens are generally healthier, making eggs better

  • Better formed poop & often less of an odor

(Alternate buckets every other day)

We soak our whole grains as this point, rather than going the

extra time to "sprout" them or grow into "fodder".

It's a simple add water, soak 24 hrs, strain rinse, then add to the fermented feed bucket.

Our custom whole grain mix includes black oil sunflower seeds,

whole oats, cracked or whole corn, organic peas, organic small grains mix (triticale, wheat, barley, peas, etc)
