We are just a small scale breeder, not a commercial hatchery.
We hatch on average 7-10 days, averaging 75-100 chicks per hatch.
We are not NPIP certified, though we keep close track of the health in our flock,
both breeding for hardiness and culling for any sign of weakness or abnormality.
We do practice bio-security as much as is practical, to prevent accidentally
spreading disease or sickness to our flocks.

Rooster Return Program
Another option to waiting for "started pullets", you can buy extra straight-run chicks (not always a 50/50 ration).
I always do my best to not include any chicks that appear to be roosters, but only a few have "sexable at hatch" markings.
If you're unable to find homes (very difficult to do) for the roosters and don't want to raise them for meat,
I offer a special "return program":

I can help you sort female/male - either by photo or in person, generally by 8-10 weeks old.

Then, make an appointment to return the roosters to me. They will be raised out for meat or sent to the auction.
